Trying to fit in (poetry)

January 5, 2012

Sweet dreams of fitting in with those around me
Wishes of being accepted by the norm of society
Eyes on me judgingly, possibly making assumptions in thier mind
All the while I try to look oblivious of thier whispers and stares; like everything is fine
This hard exterior covers a core that is a raw nerve ready to cry out in pain
Trying to look calm, composed and confident when really feeling out of place and lame……………….
